shot completely off the hip in split second timing;
turned around to catch mahlan playing the
monkey bar game that's the latest rage -
trying to fly off the bars and not use your
hands to break your fall. his expression of pure
terror (haha) makes me crack up everytime i see it.
utterly forgives the poor quality, imo.
as a child i fell off the monkey bars doing something similar. i landed on my neck, my neck curved into my sternum and the result of it was a chipped vertabrae in my spine. as a result i have had headaches and a loss of energy during certain periods of my life that required in a need for chiropractic work. we rarely if ever consider the affects of our actions as children might affect our lives as adults.
no, no pain. the kids always put
their hands down in time. *whew*
my siblings and i used to play similar
games on the couch - standing on one arm
and falling toward the sofa while keeping your
arms perfectly straight by your sides. i could never
keep them there at the end though. even though
it was a cushy couch and no harm would come.
just those powerful primal self-protective instincts
kicking in would not allow it. hahaa... good times.
god, knows i needed one today too.
i had it planned to go shoot the big
MLK march and surprise, surprise-
it's raining in seattle.
no way can i take my camera out there.
pretty bummed too. ahh well, thanks for
the comment and the lift, my friend.
his photos make me want to come there so badly.
but no money for travelling just now.
and i want to go to west africa first when
money allows. i study and play traditional maninka
drum rhythms and songs so i want to go live in the
heartland of those rhythms for a few months
when possible.
aven, i wanted to bring you
a special photo but it's been
raining for THREE DAYS STRAIGHT!!
i am so bummed because i so badly wanted to
shoot the big MLK march today and holysuckhole
i cannot.
your little badda-boom song and kooky ambulance
guy cheered me though so thanks for
that, lover.
I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
